MATCHED TO YOUR MATERIAL, FROM SINGLE SCREW TO TWIN SCREW

Plastic Extruders Built for Continuous Production

Every pipe, tube, and drip line starts in the same place, the extruder. DRTS plastic extruders melt, mix, and push raw resin into a controlled, consistent flow, so the rest of your line has something reliable to build on. From single screw machines running standard PE to twin screw platforms built for demanding compounds, we build extruders around your material, not the other way around.

EXTRUSION TECHNOLOGY

Built for Every Material and Output Target

Whether you are running standard PE pipe or a demanding multilayer compound, DRTS extruders deliver the same core advantages: consistent melt quality, precise output control, and the durability to run shift after shift. The difference is how much material flexibility and throughput your line actually needs.

TYPES OF EXTRUDERS

Types of DRTS Plastic Extruders

DRTS builds the full extruder range, from single screw machines for standalone lines to twin screw platforms and three-layer co-extrusion systems for advanced pipe structures.

Single Screw Extruders

Our single screw extruders handle PE, PVC, and PPR production with a simple, low-maintenance design. Built around Zambello gearboxes and Reiloy bimetallic screws and barrels, they deliver the melt consistency pipe manufacturers depend on, run after run.

Twin Screw Extruders

When your material needs more than a single screw can give it, our twin screw extruders take over. They are built for compounds with fillers, additives, or recycled content, giving you the mixing power to hold quality steady even when the input material is not.

Co-Extrusion and Three-Layer Systems

Our three-layer die head technology lets you layer application-specific virgin polymer on the outside and inside of the pipe, with a lower cost regrind polymer in the middle. It is one of the most effective ways to cut material costs without giving up pipe quality.

Applications

Built for Your Pipe Type

DRTS extruders serve a wide range of pipe and tubing applications, with a purpose engineered configuration for each.

THE ECONOMICS OF EXTRUSION

The Extruder That Pays for Itself

A well specified extruder is not just a production question, it is a materials cost question. Faster, more consistent melt output means less scrap and less downtime. Three-layer technology means less virgin polymer per meter of pipe. Most DRTS customers see the effect on both sides of the ledger.

Increased Output:

Consistent melt pressure and temperature control keep your line running at target speed instead of chasing quality issues, shift after shift.

Reduced Labor Cost

Three-layer die head technology lets you use regrind polymer for up to 80 percent of the pipe material without sacrificing surface quality or industry standards.

Why DRTS

The Difference in the Details

Extruders are the engine of your line, they cannot be an afterthought. DRTS extruders are built to run as hard as the rest of your production, with the components and support to back it up.

European Components

Built with Zambello gearboxes, Reiloy bimetallic screws and barrels, and B&R, ABB, Siemens, and Omron controls, the same component standard used across every DRTS machine.

Modular and Customizable

From separating electrical cabinets from the extrusion frame to building a unique platform for your layout, we adapt the extruder to your production floor, not the other way around.

Three-Layer Die Head Technology

Our three-layer die head lets you combine virgin and regrind polymer in a single pass, cutting material cost while holding pipe quality steady.

SCADA Integration

We build extruders to communicate with your existing supervisory control and data acquisition system, so new lines fit straight into what you already run.

Global Install Base

With 500+ production lines running in 50+ countries, DRTS has the experience to specify the right extruder for almost any material or application.

Full After-Sales Support

Spare parts, remote diagnostics, and on-site service, wherever your line runs. Our support continues for the life of the machine.

Frequently Asked Question
What is a plastic extruder used for?

A plastic extruder melts and pressurizes raw resin, then pushes it through a die to form pipe, tubing, or profile with a consistent cross section. It is the core machine behind every DRTS pipe and drip irrigation line.

A single screw extruder is built for straightforward, single polymer runs like standard PE or PVC pipe. A twin screw extruder uses two intermeshing screws to mix material more aggressively, which makes it better suited to filled compounds, additives, and higher percentages of recycled content.

DRTS extruders cover diameters from 16mm up to 630mm, depending on the model and configuration, giving you a single supplier across your full product range.

DRTS extruders are built for PE, PVC, and PPR, along with the regrind and filled compounds used in three-layer pipe production.

Three-layer pipe extrusion uses a die head to apply virgin, application specific polymer to the outer and inner surfaces of the pipe, with a lower cost regrind polymer layered in the middle. It can cut material costs substantially while still meeting industry quality standards.

Yes. We build our extruders to communicate with your existing SCADA setup, and we welcome specific electrical and mechanical requests so a new line fits cleanly alongside your current equipment.

Every DRTS extruder comes with spare parts availability, remote diagnostics, and on-site service. With installations in 50+ countries, our after-sales support is built to reach you wherever your line runs.
